Description

My friend Javier Palacios spotted me at CoffeeFest and called me over to the Guats Coffee cupping table. Javier and his partner Genero were bringing in 9 coffees from Huehuetenango and wanted me to taste them, even though a few of the lots were completely sold out. To my great fortune (and now yours) the best coffee on the table was a microlot from a small farm that knocked it out of the ballpark with a Pacamara and Maragogype blend. I convinced them to set aside 2 bags for me before the entire 60 bag lot was sold. Guatemala San Miguel Bonanza is sourced from an estate located in the community of San Antonio within the municipality of Santa Cruz Barillas in the department of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Mike Ottoniel M?rida Reyes owns and manages San Miguel Bonanza, which has 110 acres of land cultivated with coffee. Mike has been working in coffee for over 40 years and supports his family of five through coffee. He also works closely with the community of Blanca Flor and enjoys hosting a Christmas celebration each year.

An award winner for a reason, this is a great coffee. Well balanced, great fruity/juicy notes without being too sweet.
